002 - DTLA
DTLA is known for everything new, exciting, and trendy that the city has to offer - a boiling pot of diverse immigrant cultures and activities.
Home to an estimated 100,000 residents & over half a million jobs, DTLA drives the LA economy as it maintains the center of all corporate businesses and government administrations.
Although DTLA does not have as big of a presence as New York City in the United States, DTLA boasts a rich collection of 16 unique districts - providing vast range of experiences and opportunities - it’s definitely more than enough. Despite it’s economic collapse during the 1950’s, post WWII era, Downtown LA has continued to develop a strong foundation over it’s ground - gaining the name as “Wall Street of the West”. In the recent decades, thanks to the Bunker Hill Redevelopment Project in 1955, LA has rapidly introduced more modern high risers such as the Wilshire Grand Cetner, US Bank Tower, The Ritz Carlton and many more to create a major upswing.
Today, Los Angelenos and tourists can enjoy the many experiences that DTLA has to offer such as beautiful parks, fine dining and regional cuisines, a vibrant nightlife, fitness studios, fair trade coffee shops and many more. As DTLA continues to grow and provide more than enough, the future of Los Angeles looks brighter than ever.
